I was reading Sandra Rose, when I came across this.

Presumably, this is one of the reasons why we have not seen Naomi’s real hair since 92.

With the mayoral election for London next week, I have been thinking about who to vote for. My first reaction is to vote for Ken Livingstone, but I don’t really have a clue why.

I mean, my family have always been Labour voters and the Conservatives have never held much attraction to me.

Over the next few days, I plan to study this website, where there is info on all 10 candidates.

So that when I go into the booth on Thursday, I will be making an informed choice.

In order for London to keep it’s place as one of the most exciting cities in the world, it is vital we all have  our voices heard,as to who is at it’s helm.

So do’nt forget to vote.  `

My Confessions

My confession is that Sisi, who is 19 months is still breastfeeding. I am embrassed as I type these words, I never thought I would be in this situation. Breast feeding in my opinion is always best, but at this stage in the game, I’m tired.

My aim was to do a year, especially as dh and I had planned to redo our wedding vows on our 10th anniversary, 16 months after she was born.

Instead of being on a beach in Jamaica, we ended up having a rushed meal on Clapham high st.  Over the past 19 months, I have had, perhaps 3 evenings away from her.

So I am asking for advice, help and encouragement with getting Sisi off, of my breast.

New York in September is my aim, so she must be fully weaned by then.

Please I am desperate.

I have had a comment about a recipe for the above cupcakes and as I do not know how to reply to comments yet, I thought that a whole new post was in order.

To be truthful they came out a bit heavy as I did not follow one recipe instead adapting two from the Cupcake bakeshop blog.  What was really good though, was the frosting which I would like to think I invented but has probably been around forever.

Mascarpone Frosting

200g Icing Sugar/ Confectioners Sugar

100g Mascarpone Soft Cheese

Splash Milk

1tsp Vanilla Extract

Mix sugar, vanilla and mascarpone together, adding milk to achieve desired consistency.

Very simple but very good

I am always on the lookout for affordable presents, I like to keep a stash ready so I am never caught out. When I came across CocoaBabies, I was  pleasantly surprised.  They have a selection of original t-shirts,  onesises, bibs and other great gift items. All at great prices, so take a look when you get a chance.

Best Invention Ever ? April 24, 2008

I truly think that the invisibelt is a great invention.

I always have the  problem that if a pair of jeans fit on the hips, they are too big in the waist. Now typically I like to wear slim fitting tops, which never fit flush over belts.

The invisibelt solves this problem, only issue is, no shipping to the UK as yet.

If by some small chance you have not seen Will.I.Am’s videos for Obama. You MUST look at the above. If you have, look at them again and be inspired.

Barack Obama will help to make the world a better place for all our children, where ever we are.

I once spent, what felt like an entire summer but was actually only a week at an uncle’s house in Maryland. The above videos saved me from dying of boredom. At the time, I thought it inevitable I would marry Micheal Bivins.  That’s if me and Bobby Brown did’nt work out.
